In November 2025, I was cast in the original play, I Want To Be A Vase directed and adapted by Dr. Grace Overbeke. It was based on the children’s book of the same name by Julio Torres. This show challenged me to utilize my physicality and voice in ways I never had before. We got to perform for kids aged 5-17 at Lincoln Elementary, Martin Luther King Arts Elementary, and Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital in Chicago, IL. Being able to share this story with not only my college community but also young kids around Chicago was an unforgettable experience.
